During the ISPRS GSW 2023 hosted in Egypt, Eng. Saeed Al Mansoori announced that Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Center (MBRSC) will be the local organizer of ISPRS GSW 2025 in Dubai, UAE.

The Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre (MBRSC) is inviting all UAE Space Science and Artificial Intelligence students to the Palm Trees Detection Workshop.

The Palm Trees Detection Workshop is an intensive session to immerse participants in the cutting-edge intersection of remote sensing and artificial intelligence (AI). Tailored for enthusiasts, researchers, GIS analysts, and professionals, this workshop bridges the gap between theoretical understanding and practical application.

Mina Al-Saad, a Research Associate at the MBRSC Lab in the University of Dubai, participated in the ISPRS Geospatial Week 2023, held in Cairo, Egypt, from September 2nd to 7th, 2023.

During the event, Mina presented a research paper titled “Semantic Segmentation of Remote Sensing Imagery Using an Enhanced Encoder-Decoder Architecture.” Nour Aburaed, Mohammed Q. Alkhatib, Mohammad Sami Zitouni, Saeed Almansoori, and Prof. Hussain Al-Ahmad co-authored this paper. Their research received the Distinguished Best Presentation Award for the SPACE Workshop.

MBRSC lab has attended SpaceOps 2023 hosted by the Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre that focuses on space operations.

The lab participated by both submitting conference papers that highlighted different aspects of space operations and assisting in the daily activities to ensure that the SpaceOps 2023 conference runs smoothly.

MBRSC lab has attended the Space Science and Technology Event hosted by the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in the United Arab Emirates and the Consulate-General of the People’s Republic of China in Dubai.

The lab participated in the panel discussion at the end of the event where they discussed the importance of studies of space and how the younger generation could achieve their dreams in the space field.

Eng. Saeed Al Mansoori, the head of MBRSC Lab, will participate as a keynote speaker in the GIS Middle East 2022 that will take place on 28th and 29th June 2022 at Dusit Thani Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
